Activities of RCAC on Jatropha

  1. Popularisation of Jatropha in the existing farming system.

RCAC has demonstrated the potential of Jatropha oil by running the diesal engine (8 HP) in its own premises for irrigation purpose for the last one year.

One of our menber regularly uses blended Jatropha oil for his tractor and power tiller. These two demonstrations have motivated all the other members to take up planting of this crop. Last season, we had raised and supplied nearly one lakh cuttings to our members (1 lakh = 100.000).
